Set on the lush hillsides of Green Cape overlooking the Black Sea, the resort draws its inspiration from the ancient Roman aqueduct a timeless symbol of connection between mountain and sea, nature and civilisation.
The architecture reinterprets the linear rhythm and structural clarity of the aqueduct as a contemporary spatial experience. A series of elongated arches and horizontal bridges extend along the hillside, appearing to channel the landscape itself through water, wind, and light through the architecture. The resort becomes a living infrastructure, carrying not water, but human presence and experience, flowing seamlessly across terraces, gardens, and open courtyards.
With stone and wood , the structures rise gently from the slope, merging with the terrain while framing panoramic sea views. The rhythmic repetition of arches creates both shelter and openness, casting patterns of light that evolve throughout the day evoking the movement of water through ancient conduits.
This architectural gesture transforms the idea of the aqueduct from a utilitarian system into a metaphor of continuity connecting earth and sky, past and present, solitude and community. The resort becomes not only a place of retreat, but a celebration of flow, balance, and timeless harmony between architecture and landscape.
